Brazil Guitar Series Opens in Mueller Performing Arts Center

Written by Matt Hinsley

Austin Classical Guitar is thrilled to present the debut of our Brasil! Summer Series this Saturday at the new AISD Performing Arts Center in Mueller .

Opening night features a guitar quartet, Quaternaglia, flying to the U.S. from Brazil just for this concert. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., but doors open at 6:30 for our Brazilian party. There will be artwork provided by Tesoros Trading Company, Brazilian treats by Edis Chocolates, and live music by Austin’s own Susanna Sharpe, who performed at the Mueller Lake Park auditorium a few weeks ago.

While we’ve been around for almost 25 years, Austin Classical Guitar is new to the neighborhood, so we’ve made a special 25% discount with the code “Cherrywood.” We hope to see you at one or more of our concerts! You can view the whole series online here or call us any time at 512-300-2247.

We are particularly excited to be presenting this series in the new Austin ISD Performing Arts Center. It is gorgeous, has 1,200 seats, is acoustically magnificent, and will provide a world-class space to hear world-class music. It is just off 51st Street and even has its own free dedicated parking garage (address is 1500 Barbara Jordan Blvd. 78723).

I hope to be sharing great music with you soon, in Austin’s newest marvelous music hall, right in East Austin.
