Cherrywood Hosts Second Kids Clothing and Toy Swap

The second semiannual Cherrywood Neighborhood Kids Clothing & Toy Swap was hosted by the Servant Church last Saturday morning.  It was a smashing success.  About 25 families came, bringing clothes, toys, and books that were quickly sorted into appropriate sections.

Parents were happy to find exactly what they were looking for.  In fact, some of us stalked behind those with slightly older children, picking up goodies as quickly as they were set down.  New neighborly connections were made while the kids free ranged and played.  Someone brought cinnamon rolls to sweeten the deal.

The cherry on top (pun intended) was all the extra goods that were donated to the Austin FreeStore.  Missed out this time? No worries, look for another opportunity in about 6 months.  See you then!
