Cherrywood Letter re Mobility 35

Written by CNA Steering Committee  (Cross-posted from ncinc2.org)

March 5, 2014

Members of the Cherrywood Neighborhood Association (CNA) will be directly affected by proposed modifications to IH35 and surrounding streets associated with the I-35 Capital Area Improvement Program (“Mobility 35”).  The CNA is particularly interested in the Travis County planning process for “Segment 4”.  The CNA has a long standing policy to support greater connectivity with adjacent neighborhoods and public resources, and specifically supports improving east/west mobility across IH35.

Together with the Mueller Neighborhood Association, the CNA requests that the Texas Department of Transportation begin direct communication with the CNA regarding planning and project timeframes, and to include opportunities for input on any plans for Segment 4 of the Mobility 35 program.  A CNA representative should also be included in any city level working groups that may be formed to participate in Mobility 35 program planning. We appreciate your attention to this matter.

With my regards,
Katie P. Halloran
Interim Chair, Cherrywood Neighborhood Association
