Cherrywood Plant and Book Swap Turns 20! Saturday, October 18

Written by Jack Darby and Jennifer Potter-Miller

The 20th Cherrywood Plant and Book Swap will take place on Saturday, October 18 from 9 am-12 noon at the Cherrywood Green pocket park on E. 34th St. at Cherrywood Rd.  East Austin neighbors are invited to clean out their garden beds and bookshelves and bring extras to swap, or simply come to browse and take home something new to them. Coffee and muffins will be available.

To celebrate the 10th year of this bi-annual event, organizers have invited several neighbors and neighborhood groups to participate, and we hope it will be a memorable weekend. The East Austin Compost Pedallers will be at the swap with compost samples to help get your new plants established, Cherrywood Urban Farm will share seeds, and the Travis County Master Gardeners will be there to talk about what grows best in Austin and how to care for your garden.
