Meeting formally began at 6:40 PM.
First order of business was a brief presentation made by Emily Schwartz about improving the safety of pedestrian and bicycle crossings for IH 35.
The next meeting item was to approve the decision records as written for the 11/28/00 and 12/19/00 Upper Boggy Creek Neighborhood Planning Team (NPT) Meetings.
Decision: The decision records were approved as written.
NPT Chair Stephen Kreger discussed some of the outreach efforts he made to include representatives from the neighborhood associations in the Neighborhood Planning Area (NPA) to gain assistance in distributing the residential survey.
Vice-Chair Bo McCarver discussed initial outreach efforts that he has made to include members of the Holy Cross Neighborhood Association (located in subsection 20).
Notebooks were distributed to individuals who have not yet received them.
The next item of business was a discussion of the residential survey.
Decision: It was decided that the distribution of the residential survey would be based on the boundaries of the four main neighborhood associations in the NPA:
Decision: Stemming from this discussion it was decided that as many surveys as possible will be hand-delivered to businesses in the NPA. Among these volunteers included Steve Wilson (will distribute to stores in the Delwood Shopping Center), Dixie Peterson, and Stefan Schuster (would deliver to retail establishments along Manor Road.
Neighborhood Planning notebooks were distributed to people who did not receive one at the previous meeting.
The next item of business was finalizing the scope of the Land Use Survey.
