I hope everyone had a great summer and is off to a great start on the new school year.  We are looking forward to providing a great year of scouting activities for Pack #28 in 2002-03.  To kick things off, we will hold our annual Ice Cream Social/Open House on Tuesday, September 10th at Northwest Pool, from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

The Ice Cream Social is a great opportunity for old friends to get re-acquainted and to roundup new friends to join Cub Scouting.  We will be forming brand new dens of 1st graders (Tiger Cubs) and 2nd graders (Bobcats/Wolves) this year and want to invite all interested students in these grades (and their families) to attend this event.  Of course, if you are aware of anyone in 3rd grade or higher who is interested in joining scouts, please encourage them to come as well. Swimming at Northwest Pool will be $2 per person (driving directions below**). The Pack will provide ice cream and refreshments for everyone and also pay each scout's (and potential scout's) admission fee.  A big thanks goes out to Tom Morgan for coordinating this event for our Pack.

**DIRECTIONS TO NORTHWEST POOL (7000 Ardath). From the south:  Burnet Road north past Allandale to Pegram/Justin. Go left on Pegram to Ardath. Then right on Ardath to the pool parking lot. The pool entrance is on the north end. From the north: Take Burnet Road south past Anderson Lane to Greenlawn. Right on Greenlawn to Daugherty. Left on Daugherty to Albata. Right on Albata to the Pool.
