First CherryBiz Holiday Pop-up Market a Moonlit Success

Written by Cara Fealy Choate

The full moon and cool weather made December 5th a perfect evening for the first CherryBiz Pop Up Holiday Market at the monthly in.gredients First Friday block party.

Tables with original print works and posters, fabric arts, and succulents were set up next to the Patchwork Urban Farms garden. Neighbors drank tea, craft beer and wine under the lights, laughed and browsed through the offerings of our local talent, some of which were still recovering from the East Austin Studio Tour just the weekend before. There was even an official puppy greeter for people wanting a tail wag hello (and a sniff).

Many thanks to in.gredients for hosting us, to their staff for being so welcoming, and to the artists and makers who participated: Brittney Benton, Denise Delagarza, Emily Hum, Jennifer Potter-Miller, Jessica Wagner, and Kellan Stover.

CherryBiz is a hyper-local business community highlighting the talents within and near the Cherrywood neighborhood. We will be hosting happy hours for knowledge exchange, and plans are underway for a health and care fair and a building and home maintenance forum.

If you’d like to be a part of our growing organization, please contact or visit our facebook page. CherryBiz connects the dots of our neighborhood talent with networking and events.
