In.gredients to Choose Next Community Partner

Written by Josh Blaine

in-gredientsEvery six months, in.gredients asks the public to help select a new nonprofit Community Partner from a pool of finalists. This fall the four finalists are Farmshare Austin, Allies Against Slavery, PEAS (Partners for Education Agriculture and Sustainability), and UrbanRoots.

The winner of the public vote, which ends Monday, October 26th, will be the beneficiary of in.gredients’ unique “BYOC” (Bring Your Own Container) donation program, in which customers are encouraged to fill their own containers when purchasing bulk items.

For each container a customer reuses, in.gredients donates 5 cents to their partner, plus 1% of sales every first Friday of the month. Voting can be done online up to once per day ( ) or in-store with every purchase, but in-store votes are weighted more heavily.
