Cherrywood Business CouncilThe Cherrywood Business Council (aka CherryBiz) is dedicated to creating networking and educational opportunities for neighborhood-based businesses. Events

CherryBiz will host its Spring Open House on April 7. Six Cherrywood-based design build professionals will offer free 15 minute consultations for 78722 neighbors interested in building work spaces at their homes. We invite you to bring your ideas, goals, and visions and pair up with one of them to get more pro-bono guidance and direction on your home offices or studio. Cherrywood art studios during EAST.

The March Happy Hour “So you want to build a studio at your home?” was held on March 2nd. Girard Kinney, AIA, architect and longtime Cherrywood resident, and his colleague Doug Powell with Kinney & Associates architects, presented many points to consider on the topic. He invited City of Austin Code Compliance officer, Moses Rodriguez, to answer questions related to code enforcement.

The full moon and cool weather made a perfect evening for the first CherryBiz Pop Up Holiday Market at the monthly in.gredients First Friday block party on December 5th.

The 1st CherryBiz Happy Hour mixer was held on November 18 at Thunderbird Coffee. Neighborhood business owners met to brainstorm about what the organization can do in 2015.

The 17 Cherrywood-based artists participating in the East Austin Studio Tour worked together to promote the tour, and CherryBiz was proud to co-sponsor the Cherrywood E.A.S.T. Kick-off Party on November 12.
