Residents Forced to Eat S’mores, Meet Fellow Neighbors

Written by Sharon Hernandez

Our 2nd S’mores Fest at 1301 E. 30th was absolutely wicked. Over a dozen Cherrywood neighbors, smelling of adventure, arrived at our home ready to meet new neighbors and submit themselves to friendly questioning. We all huddled around a roaring fire, roasted (and burned) vegan marshmellows, and guzzled hot chocolate. Some visitors had seen the announcement on the Cherrywood listserv while others were tackled as they walked innocently by. The compost gal, making her deliveries, was even coaxed to stop and stay a while.

We hope to have more events, including a movie night, on Wednesday nights as the year progresses. Stay tuned!
